Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has announced several infrastructure and economic development initiatives for the state. During the Shivnarayan festival in the Janjgir-Champa district, the Chief Minister pledged to construct a new bridge over the Mahanadi River at a cost exceeding 63 crore rupees to improve regional connectivity.
Additional announcements for Shivnarayan include the establishment of a Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) to protect the Mahanadi, development works under the Ram Van Gaman tourism circuit, and a survey to grant municipal status to the town. The Chief Minister noted that these steps aim to boost religious tourism and local livelihoods.
In a separate industrial development event at Nava Raipur, Sai addressed the groundbreaking ceremony for a new facility by Yash Fans and Appliances Limited. The project, involving an investment of over 150 crore rupees, is expected to create more than 3,500 direct jobs. The Chief Minister emphasized the state's policy of incentivizing labor-intensive industries to ensure that industrial growth translates into widespread employment opportunities for local youth and women.
