Chhattisgarh CM Vishnu Deo Sai lauds Mann Ki Baat focus on state’s water conservation

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai attended a live listening of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 136th Mann Ki Baat episode at Daya Bhavan in Faafadih, Raipur, alongside youth, elected representatives and citizens. After the broadcast he praised the programme as a strong platform for national dialogue that showcases positive societal work.

Sai noted that recent episodes repeatedly highlighted Chhattisgarh’s cultural heritage and innovations, citing the Malhar archaeological site, the Bastar Olympics, the Bastar Pandum and, most recently, the water‑conservation and groundwater‑recharge efforts in Korba under the “Catch the Rain” campaign. He commended the use of geospatial mapping, shallow aquifer management and recharge wells, saying such national recognition boosts pride and gives the state’s development model wider visibility.
