Chhattisgarh government approves funding for six resource centers

The Chhattisgarh state government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, has approved the construction of six project-cum-resource centers to strengthen welfare schemes for women and children. Following efforts by Women and Child Development Minister Lakshmi Rajwade, an administrative sanction of ₹2.70 crore has been granted for these facilities.

The new buildings will be constructed in the Surajpur district (Bhaiyathan and Odgi), Raigarh district (Tamnar), and Bijapur district (Bijapur, Usur, and Bhopalpatnam). Each building has been allocated ₹45.15 lakh for construction. For the 2026-27 financial year, an initial installment of ₹67.72 lakh has been agreed upon.

These centers are intended to improve the field implementation of departmental schemes, coordinate staff, and monitor services related to health, nutrition, and the protection of rights for women and children. The infrastructure aims to provide better facilities for departmental operations and ensure more effective delivery of government services in remote and rural areas.
