Chhattisgarh launches cyber security and child rights awareness campaigns

In Chhattisgarh, authorities are intensifying awareness campaigns focused on digital safety and child protection. Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Vijay Sharma launched ‘Cyber Sankalp’ at Pandit Ravishankar Shukla University in Raipur. This initiative, part of the ‘Cyber Jagriti Abhiyan’ by the Chhattisgarh Police, features a nine-module video course designed to educate citizens on digital security, banking fraud, and evolving cybercrime tactics.

Simultaneously, educational programs are being conducted in schools, such as at Sadhu Ram Vidya Mandir in Surajpur, to protect children's rights. These sessions cover critical topics including the Juvenile Justice Act, prevention of child marriage, and the dangers of substance abuse. Students are being educated on identifying ‘good touch and bad touch,’ understanding cybercrime, and utilizing the 1098 child helpline for assistance. The campaigns aim to foster a safer environment by teaching legal procedures regarding adoption and the roles of the Child Welfare Committee.
