CHIALA Afrika Festival returns to Graz's Augarten

The CHIALA Afrika Festival is returning to the Augarten in Graz for its 23rd edition. The two-day open-air event focuses on cultural exchange and the diversity of African cultures and the African diaspora.

The festival program includes live music, dance, and cultural performances from both national and international artists. Visitors can participate in various workshops, explore an African market featuring arts and crafts, and sample traditional cuisine from different African regions.

Designed to be family-friendly, the event includes a dedicated children's area with activities such as bouncy castles. The festival aims to foster communication and openness, providing a space for encounter and dialogue beyond common stereotypes.
