Chiang Wan-an addresses interview invitations amid debate over Wang Wei-chung's interview style

A recent interview between host Wang Wei-chung and Taipei mayoral candidate Shen Po-yang on the program ‘Hey! Where Was I Talking About?’ has sparked significant public debate. Viewers criticized Wang’s interviewing style, accusing him of being overly assertive, interrupting the guest frequently, and adopting a ‘preachy’ tone.

Some netizens characterized the interaction as biased, while others defended it as a necessary way to test a candidate's reactions. Commentator Wu Jing-yi defended the exchange, suggesting the dynamic resembled a familiar, blunt conversation between elders and younger generations in military dependents' villages.

Amidst the controversy, commentator Chao Shao-kang addressed claims that Wang had exclusively interviewed Shen while ignoring Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan-an. Chao stated that China Broadcasting System (CBS) had sent multiple invitations to Chiang, but he had not yet agreed. Chiang responded by noting that his team is currently managing various interview requests while he remains occupied with the Taipei City Council's general interpellation period.
