Chiapas Health Secretary implements reforms to improve medical services

Luis Ignacio Avendaño Bermúdez, the Secretary of Health for Chiapas, is implementing internal changes to improve medical services and accessibility across the state. The initiative focuses on bringing healthcare closer to families by conducting field visits to understand the specific needs of various regions and communities.

Key areas of improvement include enhanced care for pregnant women and newborns, faster emergency responses for heart attacks, and the provision of ambulances for patient transfers. Additionally, the Secretary is promoting the use of digital tools to improve patient follow-up and is working to improve communication between different departments within the Secretariat of Health to ensure decisions are based on real-time data from hospitals and health centers.
