Chiara Ferragni explains origin of nose irregularity

Italian digital entrepreneur Chiara Ferragni has shared the origin of a small bump on her nose via social media. After facing online scrutiny regarding her physical appearance, Ferragni revealed that the irregularity is the result of a childhood accident.

While on a family vacation in Maui, Hawaii, at the age of ten, Ferragni was injured while bodysurfing. She described the incident as a “small nightmare,” noting that she hit her face and broke her nose. Although her father attempted to straighten it immediately, she underwent surgery while in Hawaii, which resulted in the slight permanent irregularity.

To illustrate the story, Ferragni shared a vintage photograph discovered by her mother, Marina Di Guardo, showing her as a child with a bandage on her face. Ferragni noted the striking resemblance between her childhood self and her son, Leone.
