Chiara Ferragni suffers altitude sickness during trip to Peru

Italian digital entrepreneur Chiara Ferragni experienced a health scare during her trip to Peru. After trekking to Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca) at an altitude exceeding 5,000 meters, Ferragni suffered symptoms of altitude sickness while in Cusco.

Ferragni reported on social media that she experienced a sudden rush of heat, difficulty breathing, and a sensation that her body was not responding correctly. She used an oxygen mask provided by her hotel for approximately 15 minutes, after which her condition improved. She has since returned to Lima to continue her travels.

The incident sparked discussion online, including criticism from journalist Selvaggia Lucarelli regarding the way the event was communicated on social media.
