Chiara Pellacani named ambassador for Italian Diplomacy of Sport

Diver Chiara Pellacani has been appointed as an ambassador for the Italian Diplomacy of Sport in the world. The appointment was made by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Antonio Tajani at the Farnesina during the Italian Sports Day in the World.

Pellacani, who recently achieved five gold medals at the 2026 European Championships in Paris, joined other athletes such as Sara Curtis and Simone Barlaam in receiving this honor. Pellacani expressed that representing Italy is a responsibility she approaches with passion, noting her desire to transmit Italian values and culture to young people, especially while studying abroad.

In addition to her diplomatic role, Pellacani has discussed her personal life and professional synergy with her partner, fellow diver Francesco Porco. She emphasized the importance of having a partner who understands the unique emotional and physical demands of professional diving.
