Chiara Valdambrini reappointed director of Santa Maria della Scala

The Board of Directors of the Fondazione Antico Ospedale Santa Maria della Scala, in agreement with the Municipality of Siena, has reappointed Chiara Valdambrini as director for a new three-year term.

Since 2023, Valdambrini and President Cristiano Leone have worked to strengthen the institution's identity, project capacity, and cultural role. Their efforts have focused on institutional consolidation, management sustainability, heritage care, and the implementation of a Masterplan to guide future development.

The upcoming term includes several scheduled cultural initiatives, such as an exhibition in September, the Xenos festival, a major exhibition dedicated to Saint Catherine of Siena in November, and an international cultural event in December. The institution also plans to announce a new scientific committee in the coming weeks.
