Chiayi City hosts Winnie the Pooh 100th anniversary light festival
Chiayi City is hosting the 7th annual Light Weaving and Shadow Dance festival at Beixiang Lake Park. This year's event celebrates the 100th anniversary of the original Winnie the Pooh publication by integrating classic Disney characters into a dreamlike light forest.
Scheduled from September 25 to October 11, the exhibition will illuminate the park daily from 18:00 to 22:00. The festival features 10 major light art installation zones designed by curator Daniel Wong, utilizing characters such as Winnie the Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, and Eeyore.
In addition to the light displays, the event includes art performances on weekends and the ‘Sweet Market,’ which opens at 16:00 on weekends to offer local food, creative brands, and lifestyle products.
