Chiayi City launches ‘Culture + 1 Skewer Shop’ exhibition

The Chiayi City Government has launched the ‘Culture + 1 Skewer!’ brand achievement exhibition, titled ‘Culture + 1 Skewer Shop,’ at the Ximen Social Innovation Center. The initiative aims to connect 27 cultural bases across the city, transforming them into a metaphorical ‘takeout shop’ to encourage citizens and travelers to explore the city's diverse cultural landscape.

Mayor Huang Min-hui stated that the project is a practical implementation of cultural governance, aiming to integrate culture into the daily lives of residents and local businesses rather than confining it to museum buildings. The exhibition features four main themes: crafts, performances, actions, and community building.

To encourage engagement, an interactive point-collection activity is running until September 20. Participants who visit the 27 cultural sites and complete interactive quizzes can redeem various rewards, including cultural and creative products, performance tickets, and handmade experience vouchers.
