Chiayi County launches integrity-themed original music contest

The Chiayi County Government has launched the ‘Integrity Music Original Composition Contest’ to promote values of honesty, anti-corruption, and integrity through music. The initiative marks the county's first attempt to use musical media as a tool for integrity advocacy, aiming to reach diverse audiences across different ages and cultures.

Open to high school students, university students, and the general public nationwide, the contest accepts various musical styles, including pop, folk, rap, and jazz. Participants may use any language, such as Mandarin, Taiwanese, Hakka, or English. However, the use of AI-generated content is strictly prohibited.

Submissions are accepted until October 12. Following a preliminary round by professional judges, 15 finalists will be selected to perform in a public concert on November 3. County Magistrate Weng Chang-liang encouraged creators to use their talents to convey positive social messages and the concept of living freely through integrity.
