Japanese sports entities announce new sponsorships and community events
Various Japanese sports organizations and entities have announced new partnerships, events, and community initiatives.
Chiba Chiba Kogyo Bank has become the main sponsor for the ‘Chiba Kogyo Bank Presents Marines Special Game 2026’ to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Chiba Lotte Marines official fan club, ‘TEAM26’. The initiative includes baseball clinics for elementary school students.
In basketball, Musashino Bank has signed a partnership agreement with the Saitama Broncos for the 2026-27 season. Additionally, Revision Co., Ltd. has become an official sponsor for the Utsunomiya Brex starting July 2026.
In e-sports, Capcom has opened secondary entries for the ‘Street Fighter 6 National Parent-Child Tournament,’ a nationwide competition for elementary and junior high students and their parents.
To support Noto reconstruction, the Nippon Sea League will host an exhibition match between a league selection and the Saitama Seibu Lions (third team) in Suzu City on September 12, 2026. The event, sponsored by Sakura Home, features Daiki Iwashita, a player from Noto, as part of the selection team.
