Chicago Bears and Cincinnati Bengals hold joint training camp practice

The Chicago Bears participated in a joint training camp practice against the Cincinnati Bengals at Paycor Stadium. Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams experienced a mix of successes and challenges during the session.

Williams demonstrated developing chemistry with wide receiver Kalif Raymond, notably connecting on a touchdown during a goal-line situation. However, the practice concluded on a difficult note for the quarterback during situational full-team periods. Williams was sacked twice by Bengals defensive end Myles Murphy, including one play resulting in a safety, and threw an interception to nickel back Jalen Davis.

Reflecting on the performance, Williams noted the need to improve ball security and situational execution, stating, “I got to bring the ball down. I left it up top too much.” He also emphasized the importance of cleaning up penalties and improving protection to allow the offense to execute more effectively.
