Chicago Bears clear Rome Odunze to play in season opener

The Chicago Bears have confirmed that wide receiver Rome Odunze will play in the season-opening game against the Carolina Panthers despite a lingering calf injury. Although Odunze was listed as questionable following limited practice sessions during the week, he expressed confidence in his ability to participate, stating, “I doubt I’m questionable. I plan on playing.”

However, the Bears will be missing several other key players for the matchup at Bank of America Stadium. The official inactive list includes safety Xavier Woods, who is out with a groin injury, and quarterbacks Tyson Bagent and Miller Moss. Other inactive players include Jamree Kromah, Jordan McFadden, Ozzy Trapilo, and Jayden Loving.
