Chicago Bears designate Kyler Gordon to return from PUP list

The Chicago Bears have designated cornerback Kyler Gordon to return from the physically unable to perform (PUP) list. This move opens a 21-day window for Gordon to practice with the team before he must be added to the active 53-man roster.

Gordon has been sidelined with a calf injury that kept him out of the offseason and training camp. While the designation signals progress, he remains ineligible to play in the upcoming Week 4 matchup against the New York Jets. If the team cannot activate him by the end of the three-week window, he must remain on the PUP list for the rest of the 2026 season.

Gordon is currently in the second year of a three-year, $40 million extension. His recovery has been a point of discussion for the organization, as General Manager Ryan Poles previously noted the importance of Gordon working hard to return to football following injury struggles.
