Chicago Bears eye trade deadline moves amid 5-2 start

The Chicago Bears hold a 5-2 record following a 30-24 victory over the New England Patriots, placing them second in the NFC North. As the November 10 NFL trade deadline approaches, reports indicate the team may be aggressive in seeking defensive reinforcements.

Speculation has linked the Bears to several defensive players, most notably pass rusher Khalil Mack from the Los Angeles Chargers. While the Chargers have not officially signaled readiness to trade, insiders suggest Chicago is among the teams most likely to make a move to bolster their pass rush. Other potential targets mentioned in league discussions include DeForest Buckner and Josh Sweat.

On the field, the team continues to navigate challenges including offensive consistency, specifically regarding fumbles and dropped passes, as they prepare for an upcoming matchup against the Seattle Seahawks.
