Chicago Bears face preseason injuries and roster additions
The Chicago Bears are facing injury challenges during the preseason. Wide receiver Luther Burden III has suffered a groin injury that will sideline him for the remainder of the preseason. The team expressed hope that he will be able to return for the season opener against Carolina on September 13.
In response to ongoing depth and health concerns at the cornerback position, the Bears have added third-year corner Beanie Bishop. Bishop, a slot cornerback who previously played for the Pittsburgh Steelers and spent time on the New Orleans Saints practice squad, has already made an impact during preseason play. He joins a defensive unit that has dealt with various injuries to players like Jaylon Johnson, Kyler Gordon, and Tyrique Stevenson.
