Chicago Bears face quarterback and defensive trade speculation

The Chicago Bears are at the center of several NFL trade and roster discussions. The Baltimore Ravens have signed former Bears quarterback Austin Reed to their practice squad to serve as a backup for undrafted rookie Joe Fagnano.

Simultaneously, reports indicate the Ravens are pursuing Bears backup quarterback Tyson Bagent as a top trade target following injuries to Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley.

On the defensive side, speculation regarding a trade for Khalil Mack from the Los Angeles Chargers appears to have diminished. While Mack was previously considered a potential target to bolster the Bears, current roster depth at edge rusher, including performances by Montez Sweat and Austin Booker, has shifted the team's perceived needs toward addressing vulnerabilities in the secondary and cornerback positions.
