Chicago Bears players see success in camp and off-season evaluations
During Chicago Bears training camp, rookie safety Dillon Thieneman recorded his first interception of the summer by intercepting a pass from quarterback Caleb Williams. Following the play, Williams reportedly targeted Thieneman during subsequent drills, including a touchdown pass to Rome Odunze.
In separate news regarding the team's roster, offensive guard Joe Thuney has been recognized as the top offensive guard in the NFL by Pro Football Focus heading into the 2026 season. After being acquired from the Kansas City Chiefs for a fourth-round pick, Thuney earned First-Team All-Pro and Pro Bowl honors in 2025. His performance included allowing zero sacks over 788 pass-blocking snaps and receiving the inaugural NFL Protector of the Year award.
