Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams fined by NFL

Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams has been fined $11,941 by the NFL for violating Uniform and Equipment Rules. The fine stems from wearing Caddix brand cleats during a Week 6 game against the Atlanta Falcons, which featured an unauthorized logo. The league maintains strict contractual agreements with partners such as Nike, Adidas, and Under Armour.

Despite the penalty, Williams continues to use the footwear, which the manufacturer claims offers enhanced cushioning and injury protection. The brand has gained traction among several NFL players, including an endorsement from Tom Brady.

In separate news regarding the Bears' recent Week 7 victory over the New England Patriots, wide receiver Jahdae Walker received two fines of $5,620 each for actions during the Week 6 game against Atlanta: one for roughing the kicker and another for unnecessary roughness involving a headbutt that led to his ejection.
