Chicago Bears make roster moves ahead of Falcons matchup

The Chicago Bears have implemented several roster changes ahead of their Week 6 game against the Atlanta Falcons. Slot cornerback Kyler Gordon has been activated from the physically unable to perform list following a months-long calf injury. To facilitate Gordon's return, defensive end Dayo Odeyingbo has been placed on injured reserve due to a quad injury and will miss at least four games.

In addressing depth issues in the running game, the Bears elevated running back Zavier Scott to the active roster to provide coverage for Kyle Monangai, who remains sidelined with a turf toe injury. Additionally, the team signed cornerback Nick McCloud to the 53-man roster and released safety Xavier Woods.

These moves come as the Bears prepare to defend against the Falcons' rushing attack. The team is currently managing injuries to several key defensive players, including T.J. Edwards and Montez Sweat, which may necessitate a heavier reliance on the linebacker unit and defensive line during the upcoming contest.
