Chicago Bears sign veteran WR Ray-Ray McCloud III

The Chicago Bears have signed veteran wide receiver Ray-Ray McCloud III to their roster. In conjunction with this signing, the team waived wide receiver Kyron Hudson with an injury designation.

McCloud, 29, brings significant experience to the receiving corps, having played in 100 career games across stints with the Buffalo Bills, Carolina Panthers, Pittsburgh Steelers, San Francisco 49ers, Atlanta Falcons, and New York Giants. He is noted for his abilities as a return specialist.

The move comes as the Bears manage injuries to their receiving unit, specifically star wide receiver Luther Burden III. Burden is expected to miss approximately one month due to a groin injury, with the team hoping he will return for their Week 1 matchup against the Carolina Panthers.
