Chicago Blackhawks face challenges amid Patrick Kane milestone

The Chicago Blackhawks are seeking to improve their performance following a 4-1 loss to the Montreal Canadiens, leaving the team with a 3-7 record. Despite the team's struggles, veteran Patrick Kane is approaching a historic NHL milestone. Kane recorded his 897th career assist during the recent game, providing the helper on a Connor Bedard goal.

Kane has recently tied Phil Housley for the most assists by an American-born player. He is now positioned to become the first American-born player in NHL history to reach the 900-assist mark. While the Blackhawks have struggled offensively, ranking 28th in the league with 22 goals in 10 games, Kane has remained productive with six points in his last ten games.
