Chicago Bulls face frontcourt injury concerns in preseason
The Chicago Bulls are facing frontcourt depth concerns during the NBA preseason due to multiple injuries. Centers Zach Collins (quad) and Nic Claxton (hamstring) have both missed training camp, while Jalen Smith recently sat out a game against the Memphis Grizzlies with foot soreness.
Bulls coach Tiago Splitter noted that the team may need to utilize a three-man rotation at the center position to manage minutes and accommodate the physical, fast pace of the league. The lack of interior presence was evident in a recent 104-100 preseason loss to the Grizzlies, where undrafted rookie Tobe Awaka was forced to start at center.
