Chicago Bulls launch rebuild with new front office and top draft pick

The Chicago Bulls have appointed Bryson Graham as vice president of basketball operations, replacing Arturas Karnisovas and Marc Eversley. Graham reshaped the front office, emphasized collaborative decision‑making and sought to end a stretch in which the team missed the playoffs in eight of the last nine seasons.

In the recent draft lottery the Bulls moved up to the fourth overall pick and selected North Carolina forward Caleb Wilson, whom Graham called “a great foundational piece.” The team also added veteran contributors such as Nic Claxton, Norman Powell and Zach Collins on flexible contracts while maintaining flexibility for future moves.

The rebuild follows earlier criticism of a previous high draft selection—Patrick Williams—which was derided within the organization and nicknamed “The Paw.” That mis‑evaluation is cited as a cautionary example driving the current, more measured approach to talent acquisition and roster construction.
