Chicago Bulls passed on Tyrese Haliburton in 2020 NBA Draft

Reports indicate that the Chicago Bulls passed on selecting Tyrese Haliburton with the fourth overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft. According to Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times, internal opinions within the organization viewed Haliburton as a viable pick, but former vice president Artūras Karnišovas opted to select Patrick Williams instead.

Since the draft, Haliburton has developed into an All-Star and All-NBA player, while Williams has faced challenges in his career progression. Karnišovas reportedly did not view Haliburton as a top-four talent capable of anchoring the Bulls' roster at the time of the selection.
