Chicago Bulls rookies debut in preseason win over Phoenix Suns

The Chicago Bulls defeated the Phoenix Suns 124-117 in their preseason opener at the United Center. The game marked the professional debuts of several Bulls rookies, including Caleb Wilson, Dailyn Swain, and Tobe Awaka.

Caleb Wilson, the No. 4 overall pick in the 2026 NBA draft, scored in double figures during his debut. While he struggled with perimeter shooting, missing all four of his three-point attempts, he demonstrated versatility with fadeaway jumpers, turnaround jumpers, and a two-handed dunk in transition. Wilson also faced early foul trouble, picking up five fouls within his first 15 minutes of play.

Wilson’s performance comes as the Bulls look to rebuild following years of postseason struggles. He joins other young talents such as Matas Buzelis and Josh Giddey on the roster.
