Robert Lewandowski assists Chicago Fire in 3-1 win over Vancouver

Robert Lewandowski returned to Chicago Fire action following his early departure from the Polish national team due to yellow card suspensions. Entering the match as a substitute in the 76th minute, the 38-year-old striker provided a crucial assist in the 88th minute, passing to Mareno Haile-Selassie to secure a 3-1 victory over the Vancouver Whitecaps.

The match featured a reunion between Lewandowski and his former Bayern Munich teammate Thomas Müller, who played for Vancouver. Lewandowski's performance comes after a recent hat-trick for Poland against Romania, though he returned to the US slightly under the weather after his international duties.

With this win, Chicago Fire maintains its position in fourth place in the Eastern Conference. Lewandowski has recorded six goals and three assists in his first 12 MLS appearances.
