Chicago Med and Chicago Fire premiere new seasons

The NBC medical drama series Chicago Med and the firefighting drama Chicago Fire have both premiered new seasons, introducing significant plot developments and character changes.

In the Chicago Med Season 12 premiere, titled ‘Shots Fired’, the episode featured a mass casualty event and a vehicle crashing into the emergency department. Showrunner Allen MacDonald discussed the creative process behind managing established characters and executing large-scale emergency scenarios.

Chicago Fire Season 15 began by resolving a previous cliffhanger. While major characters survived the initial incident, the character Joe Miñoso’s character, Cruz, faces a career-ending injury. Following a spinal fracture, MRI results revealed limited healthy tissue, indicating that Cruz will be unable to continue his work as a firefighter.
