Chicago murder suspect lived in Oak Harbor under alias
Darreon Plummer, 33, has been accused of first-degree murder in the death of 36-year-old Da’J Flowers in Chicago. Flowers, an employee of the Chicago Office of Emergency Management and Communications, was found fatally shot in February in the apartment she shared with Plummer.
Following the shooting, Plummer fled to Oak Harbor, Washington, where he lived for several months using the alias Dajuan Jackson. During this time, he obtained a Washington driver’s license under the false name and had contact with local law enforcement. Court filings indicate that Oak Harbor police responded to a disturbance at Windjammer Park in June, during which Plummer identified himself as Jackson.
An arrest warrant was issued in Illinois on August 26. Plummer was arrested in Snohomish County on September 1 and subsequently waived extradition to Chicago.
