Chicago School Board voter guide released for 2026 election

A voter guide has been developed for the 2026 Chicago School Board election to assist residents with the city’s first-ever fully elected school board process. The guide was created through a collaboration involving Chalkbeat Chicago and Block Club Chicago.

To compile the guide, journalists sent questionnaires to all candidates and conducted background research on their campaign finance data, educational credentials, legal records, and business activities. The guide includes candidate responses, biographical information, and endorsements from education-related organizations. It also identifies education-focused political action committees that have contributed to specific candidates.
