Chicago White Sox face Colorado Rockies in pitching matchup

The Chicago White Sox are scheduled to face the Colorado Rockies on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at Rate Field. The matchup features a significant pitching disparity between Davis Martin for Chicago and Jose Quintana for Colorado.

Quintana, who previously played for the White Sox nine seasons ago, is making his fourth start for the Rockies this season following a four-month absence due to a left elbow sprain. He currently holds a 4.24 ERA over four games. Martin enters the contest with a 3.84 ERA and is considered a reliable mid-rotation starter.

In recent roster updates, the White Sox have activated Drew Romo to the 28-man roster to replace Jake Rogers, who is on paternity leave. Additionally, Chase Meidroth is sidelined for at least the second consecutive game due to a sore left hamstring.
