Chicago White Sox make roster moves as Tommy Pham hits solo home run

The Chicago White Sox have implemented several roster changes ahead of their series finale against the Cleveland Guardians. Following the designation of José Urquidy for assignment, the team reinstated Drew Thorpe from the 60-day injured list and recalled Noah Schultz from Triple-A Charlotte.

In a notable personnel move, the White Sox reinstated Tommy Pham from the 10-day injured list. Pham reportedly made a direct case to General Manager Chris Getz for a chance to play, leading to his insertion into the cleanup spot. Despite hitting a three-run, 412-foot home run—his first hit and home run of the season—the White Sox ultimately lost the game 6-3 to the Guardians, who took the lead in the AL Central division.

Other roster adjustments included optioning Edgar Quero to Charlotte and Munetaka Murakami being sidelined for the game. Anthony Kay was scheduled to start for the White Sox.
