Chiche Gelblung's televised recreation of the alien autopsy hoax

Argentine journalist Chiche Gelblung gained television notoriety for recreating a famous purported alien autopsy to expose it as a hoax. The original footage, known as the ‘Alien Autopsy’, was released by British producer Ray Santilli and claimed to show a creature recovered from the 1947 Roswell incident.

To debunk the video, Gelblung invested approximately $4,000 to hire special effects teams and real surgeons to perform a simulated procedure on a humanoid replica. The demonstration proved that a television production could convincingly mimic a secret military document. Gelblung’s skepticism preceded Santilli’s own admission that the footage was a fraud in 2006.

Separately, it was reported that Samuel Gelblung passed away on September 9 at a clinic in Buenos Aires following acute respiratory complications, marking the end of a five-decade career in print, radio, and television.
