Chicken Salad Chick to open new location in Rockville

Chicken Salad Chick is expanding its presence in Montgomery County with a new fast-casual location in the King Farm community of Rockville. The restaurant will occupy the former Wells Fargo space situated next to Alloy Personal Training. An official opening date for the Rockville location has not yet been announced.

Founded in 2008 in Auburn, Alabama, by Stacy and Kevin Brown, the franchise specializes in made-from-scratch chicken salad with various signature flavors, including Classic Carol, Fancy Nancy, and Buffalo Barclay. The menu also features soups, sandwiches, salads, sides, and desserts.

In addition to the new Rockville site, the chain's Olney location has faced delays. Originally scheduled for a September 23 opening, the Olney restaurant was postponed due to electrical power issues. Franchise owners Jim Schleckser and Carrie Tydings previously aimed for a mid-October opening, though a confirmed date remains pending.
