Chiclana opens new canine park in Mónica Aragón area
Chiclana has inaugurated a new canine park located within the Mónica Aragón ‘La Mónica’ public park, adjacent to the CEIP La Atlántida. The facility covers more than 1,000 square meters and represents a municipal investment of approximately 10,000 euros.
The new space features a perimeter fence for safety, drinking fountains for both humans and animals, benches, and urban furniture, with existing vegetation providing shade. Mayor José María Román stated that the project was a response to resident requests and aims to provide a dedicated area for pets to prevent them from fouling other parts of the neighborhood.
This marks the sixth canine park in Chiclana. Additionally, the City Council has announced it is currently preparing a new space specifically intended for cats to further comply with animal welfare laws and improve urban cleanliness.
