Chiclayo police detain three minors for alleged sexual assault

Three minors, aged 13, 14, and 16, have been detained by the National Police of Peru following allegations of sexual assault against a 13-year-old student in Chiclayo, Lambayeque.

The victim's mother reported the incident to the North Chiclayo police station after finding her daughter disoriented. According to the complaint, the teenager had left her home in the Pimentel district to meet a classmate. After failing to reach her daughter via communication, the mother located the girl at a classmate's residence.

The victim alleged that she was forced to consume a substance known as ‘tusi’, which caused her to lose consciousness, after which she was sexually assaulted by one of her peers. The Family Prosecutor's Office is currently conducting investigations to clarify the circumstances and determine the responsibility of each adolescent involved.
