Chico Banza denies allegations regarding Rwanda trip

Angolan footballer Chico Banza, a player for Zamalek SC, has issued an official statement denying allegations of misconduct during the team's recent trip to Rwanda for an African Champions League preliminary round match.

Banza characterized the reports involving an alleged incident with a hotel employee as false and baseless. He expressed distress over the rumors, stating they threaten his professional reputation and personal dignity. The player emphasized that sports competition should remain on the pitch and not extend to attacks on a professional's private and family life.

Banza confirmed that the matter has been referred to legal authorities to uncover the truth and take necessary action. Zamalek SC has also indicated it will pursue legal measures against anyone proven to be involved in spreading defamatory or offensive news about the player.
