Chico Kwasi defends GLORY welterweight title against Teodor Hristov

Chico Kwasi successfully defended his GLORY welterweight title by defeating Teodor Hristov via unanimous decision at the GLORY 109 event in Rotterdam. The victory allowed Kwasi to win the trilogy between the two fighters and secure his fifth consecutive title defense.

The five-round bout was highly competitive. Hristov utilized powerful low kicks and rapid movement to pressure the champion early on. However, Kwasi utilized clinching techniques to neutralize much of the Bulgarian fighter's offense. During the fourth round, the match was briefly interrupted after an illegal kick to Hristov's groin area broke his protector.

Despite a late surge from Hristov in the final rounds, the judges scored the bout 50-49 in favor of Kwasi. The champion maintained stability throughout the high-tempo exchanges, countering Hristov's attacks with heavy hooks and knee strikes.
