Chidera Ejuke to join Anderlecht as Sevilla accept €3.5 million bid

Belgian club RSC Anderlecht have submitted a €3.5 million (about N5.5 billion) offer for Nigerian international winger Chidera Ejuke, 28, who is currently under contract with La Liga side Sevilla. Sevilla, needing to raise funds to comply with league financial rules, are prepared to sell him this summer despite him having one year left on his deal.

Ejuke joined Sevilla on a free transfer two years ago after a season on loan at Royal Antwerp, where he recorded four goals and four assists in 29 league matches. At Sevilla he has made 52 appearances, scoring three goals and providing two assists. Anderlecht aim to bolster their squad to challenge domestic rivals Union SG and Club Brugge, while Saudi clubs have also shown interest in the player.
