Chief Keef returns to Chicago for major tour kickoff
Rapper Chief Keef has made his first concert appearance within Chicago city limits in over a decade. The South Side native, born Keith Cozart, appeared as a special guest during Ye’s homecoming concert at Soldier Field on September 5.
This appearance served as a precursor to the kickoff of his “Chief Keef Live 2026” tour, held at the Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island. Keef, who rose to prominence in 2011 with viral hits like “Bang” and “300,” expressed pride in returning to his hometown for a major solo milestone after years of performing in surrounding areas.
