Chief Little Rock targets Morphettville victory

Ballarat-based trainer Patrick Kearney is preparing the stayer Chief Little Rock for the Sportsbet Green Tick Handicap (2500m) at Morphettville this Saturday. Kearney purchased the horse for $40,000 via an Inglis Digital Sale.

Chief Little Rock previously raced in Ireland under trainer Aidan O’Brien, where the horse served as a pacemaker. Kearney describes the horse as a ‘project horse’ and is working to help him relax and find his form. Following recent runs at Flemington and hurdle schooling at Sandown, the trainer aims to eventually target the Tasmanian Summer Carnival if the horse shows sufficient ability.
