Chief Minister Vijay to visit Madurai for temple ceremony and issues monsoon orders

Chief Minister Vijay is reportedly planning to visit Madurai to participate in the grand consecration ceremony (Kudamuzhukku) at the Meenakshi Amman Temple, scheduled for September 17. This major event, occurring after 17 years, is expected to draw devotees from various districts and abroad. While official confirmation is pending, reports suggest his itinerary may include a breakfast scheme launch in Virudhunagar before traveling to Madurai.

In a separate administrative move, Chief Minister Vijay has issued strict directives to officials to complete all monsoon preparedness works by the 30th of this month. The order emphasizes proactive measures, such as clearing drains, canals, and inspecting roads, to prevent issues before the rainy season begins. The Chief Secretary has also been actively monitoring the progress of these works on the ground to ensure compliance with the set deadline.
