Chief Ministers Yogi Adityanath and Vishnu Deo Sai Lead Sawan Temple Ceremonies
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited the Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi on the first day of the Hindu month of Sawan. He performed the traditional water abhishek on the Shiva lingam, offered flowers and aarti, and prayed for the prosperity, peace and health of the state. After the puja he instructed temple officials to ensure that pilgrims and Kavad Yatra participants face no inconvenience during the month.
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, accompanied by his wife, arrived at the historic Bhoramdev Temple. He conducted a full Shiva puja, took part in a five‑day Maha Chatur Shuddhi Sahasr Kalasham ritual, and prayed for the welfare and development of the state. Sai highlighted the temple’s cultural heritage and announced that the ongoing Kavad Yatra would be welcomed with flower offerings, underscoring the spiritual significance of the Sawan season across both states.
