Chien-yao Hung wins Mercuries Taiwan Masters

Chien-yao Hung secured his first Asian Tour title at the Mercuries Taiwan Masters, ending a 21-year winless streak. Playing at the Taiwan Golf & Country Club, the local golfer finished with an eight-under-par total of 280.

Hung faced a dramatic finish after recording bogeys on the 16th and 17th holes, which allowed Australia’s Wade Ormsby to close the gap. However, Hung secured the victory with a birdie on the 18th hole. Ormsby finished in second place at seven-under-par (281).

A three-way tie for third place followed, involving Jeunghun Wang of Korea, Jazz Janewattananond of Thailand, and Suteepat Prateeptienchai of Thailand, all finishing at five-under-par (283). Malaysian golfer Gavin Green also finished in the tie.
