Chieti reopens four roads after weather-related repairs

Four roads in Chieti have been reopened following emergency repairs to address damage caused by severe weather in 2025 and early 2026. The restoration projects, totaling over one million euros, focused on slope consolidation and roadbed recovery.

Key interventions included: - Strada Santa Maria Calvona: 290,000 euros (funded by Civil Protection) for stabilization using sheet piles and micropiles. - Via Madonna delle Grazie: 260,000 euros to secure a landslide-prone slope using natural engineering and cortical netting, allowing the return of two-way traffic. - Strada Belvedere and Strada Mucci: 490,000 euros for full requalification to restore the connection between the Tricalle and San Martino areas.

Mayor Giovanni Legnini and Public Works Assessor Luigi Febo inspected the completed sites, noting that these works are part of a broader hydrogeological safety and maintenance program.
