Chihuahua and Juárez host free 'División del Norte: Episodio 2' short‑film showcase
The Secretaría de Cultura, through its Department of Cinematography and Film Commission, announced the second edition of the short‑film showcase “División del Norte: Episodio 2”. The programme features works by filmmakers from the northern Mexican states of Baja California, Nuevo León, Sinaloa, Sonora and Chihuahua.
Free screenings will take place on 29 July and 30 July 2024 at 18:00 in two venues: the Cineteca Chihuahua located in Casa Cultural “Los Laureles”, and the Cineteca Juárez in the Centro Cultural “Paso del Norte”. The 29 July lineup includes “Los Gorriones Vuelan de Noche”, “Retiro de la Fuerza”, “Alivios”, “Ohuira, Lugar Sagrado” and “Anza 250”. The 30 July programme shows “Pedazo”, “La Tela Sabe los Susurros de la Tierra”, “Cuento de Hadas”, “La Chica de Dos Cabezas” and “Carta al Portador”. Attendees must register in advance through the Secretaría de Cultura website to secure a seat.
